Hey Folks, I've got a question for y'all that was answered before, but I lost the answer. (makes a good starter post here, huh?) Anyhow, I got a Phono Plug that will serve as the 12v Power point for a light and fan I want to add to my new bathroom walls in the camper. It will plug into a nearby Ceiling light that has the accessory plug available. Here's a Pic of it... The question is whether the Tip is Positive or Negative. I think the Tip is Positive, but I'd like to be sure before I start to build the light/fan combo and plug it in. Thanks folks!

Thanks, Ray. That's what I thought I remembered too. Of course, an afterthought... It's easily checked with a DVOM (Digital Volt Ohm Meter) when plugged into the power port. If our thinking is correct, the Red lead on the tip and the black on the other would show a + 12v. Reverse the leads, and the reading will be a - 12v. In the case of my Pic, it looks like the Tip's connection is the lower screw. For a simple light, this wouldn't matter at all. But the fan needs to be set right so that the airflow is in the desired direction. In my case, I want the fan to serve as an Exhaust.
