It's the one on the island, A Real Pirate's Treasure, and it's been on our 'radar' for some time now. I have a 9 foot fiberglass boat that an accept a small motor that can hold two comfortably, but it might be a stretch to hold three. A kid maybe, and adult... No. (least wise, not while I'm the Captain of that 'ship'.
I still need to;
A) Dig it out from Storage, B) Replace the motor. Some thief stole my 30 # thrust troller, and it was kinda weak on the river's current anyhow. So I'm hoping a 50 or 55 # troller will do better.
Big question I have is, Where to Launch? Looking at the Satellite Map again, I think there's a boat launch at the end of the River Road Park lane, near the cache River Road- Stroll. I parked in that lot in January when I found Stroll. I'm guessing it'll be about a two mile round trip on the water for this cache.
Does this sound good to anyone else? Or does any of you know a better place to put the boat(s) in the water? I tried like heck to get a Screen Shot of the Sat Map to upload to Webshots, but for some reason it's not happening right now. Weird, cause I'm sure I've done that trick before...

Well... POOP! So much for this one. YarnoDe just Archived it. Seems like the Cache didn't hold up to the high waters, from reading his log. I wrote him a DNF log to let him know that it wasn't "unpopular", but that we didn't get a Boat yet. Or in my case, a Motor for my boat. Rats! We waited too long.

I sent a follow up email to let him know that we've been talkin' about going to this one and also to check in here at the forums. That email hasn't been replied to as of yet. Let it be known that YarnoDe is a bit difficult to actually contact and get a response from. Not an insult (if he should happen to read this post...) but it is true. I'm sort of hoping for a replacement somewhere, as I really would like to get a motor for my little boat and maybe play a little on the river with it.
