Lyme Disease is traditionally carried by a Deer Tick which is much smaller (about the size of a pin head) that the Wood Ticks we have around here but there have been reports of them making their way up here. Here is a good Website with more information. Or if you do not want to click...

Guess its getting close to that time of year around here too... I figure winter will still be in these parts for atleast another couple weeks, but better to start thinking of it now rather then later..

bump as one of the guys on the Iowa forums mentioned bringing one home today. Also, one of the local trail systems up here gave us a warning to be on the lookout for poison ivy already.
