Since it's 6 months out wanted to start talking about the end of the race. Here's what I was thinking about: Friday July 8th - Camping Event located at Kankakee River State Park (still gotta get prices) - Pot Luck Dinner
- Marshmallows
- Games (I have a few kids caching games in mind including geocaching bingo)
- other camping activities supplied from our campers here.
Saturday July 9th - Race Awards - Prizes are given to the top three
- If we decide to run a 2011 race it'll be started from here.
- CITO around the camp site to leave the area clean
any other ideas from anyone? I'll also post a 2011 race post to see what people think.

This Vote was Simple! I HAVE to get that Camper out this year... and I WILL demand my time OFF to do so. This will be just One of the times that I will do my darnedest to get my allotted time OFF with my family and Friends and a once brand new camper that sat out the entire 2010 season.
Enough of that Vent from me folks... but I really don't want to repeat last season's Camping season. For there wasn't one. Argh. The Chippawa Campground off Rt. 102 is a good place to camp, and it offers spaces for Campers and Tents. As I am Really wanting to get my camper out this year, I can go ahead and do some of the legwork involved with filling in the informative blanks for y'all. (Pricing, Facilities and so on) For starters, the spots available include: - Camper with Electric and Direct Parking
- Tent or Camper, without Electric, but with Direct Parking.
Water is available at randomly placed bibs, but direct camper connection really isn't available. (I think I could get away with it, but that really would be a stretch!) Sewer is available at the public Dumping Station. Pit Potties are available at random locations.
I will Edit Info if needed (as my memories actually are more than two years old at this point.... man, that's bad!) but it's a really nice place to stay at a home away from home. And... as we are going to be a week Away from the Holiday, we should be able to get some good spots. Even if we get to be spread out a bit, it's not too darn hard to hike on over to other folk's camp sites for visits and such. As for the Games... I have a bean bag toss game (actually two of them) that I can offer as an "Other" Camping activity to pass some time while we are there. Also, as a co host of the Event/CITO Event, I can offer up my Yard (campsite) as the hosting site for any potluck dinner/supper that we might get gathered up together. Again, we all have time to talk about this one too, but I am already looking forward to this! ;D PS.... I'm stayin' till Sunday, and maybe even Monday!!!

I wouldn't be able to camp (no trailer or tent, but I live close enough I would definitely be there.

You two guys get a hold of me in Private ways. (email might be best...)
Amongst my many Other plans/ideas of things to get Done this year... one of them is setting up my new Shop. Currently In that shop to be is some Camping Gear that I really will likely no longer need.
I have the Camper. And will likely never use the Tenting Gear again. And.. I have my new shop I have in mind and will be needing to make room.
Let's Talk. There's Plenty there for Both y'all.
