5-8-09 VE day.
In WW II, this was in the year 1945. The date the U.S of A. Won the war in the European Theater. On this same date in 2009 I buried my Grandparents together at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery here in Illinois. Close enough to us so that we can visit them at their final resting place every year. Grandpa was a liberated POW of WW II, so this video is dedicated to him and every other Veteran that has ever eventually paid the final price for the freedoms that I hope we can still hold onto each and every day that this Nation is still here. Military Honors Interment
Grandpa didn't die in the war, but instead stayed with us for 63 years after the fact. However, times keep changing as the years go by, and I can't help but to think of what he went through in the service of our country back then. Given the current war fronts our Military is going through today and the way things have been changing over the decades since his service, I feel obligated to remind everyone that things really should Never Change in this Nation's Core Values of how we became to be who we are in the first place. As a direct family member/Witness to a full Military Honors Interment, it's my hope that this nation will Never Forget our History. 9/11, Vietnam, Korea, WW II.... All of it. I dedicate this video to Grandpa, and each and every other Military man or woman who have served (or are still serving) this great Nation of ours.
I hold a Special Honor in my heart to have been there for the Interment. And I'll never forget it.
