This topic was moved here from the Collection of Links board that has since been discontinued. It makes for a good topic to be a Sticky here in the New Board, Weather Topics. Enjoy, and I hope you find the links useful.
These links are pretty helpful when trying to plan a Trip. Both nearby home, or even away. All you have to do is Enter in the Zip Code of where you plan to Cache or Camp, and you'll get the weather information! AccuweatherI use this one at work for the Radar, cause Weatherbug isn't allowed. NOAAI don't use this one so much, but others might really like it. WeatherbugWeatherbug is our choice for use at home. Weather Channel I use this one at work to get a look ahead at the Forecasts. Submitted by Ray (grcooperjr) Weather Underground This one looks like a great place to get info about the weather, and it looks like it's been Updated recently. Submitted by Craig (snow) Weather Network He tells me this one is great for those North of the US Boarder. (yup... we've got a Canadian here. )
Personally, I have Weatherbug at home exclusively, and I use Accuweather at work for the Radar, and Weatherchannel for the Forecasts. Happy Cache Run/Camp Trip Planning, folks!

Thanks, Ray!
Thanks for posting that here too! I've seen it before (probably your Sig at another place...) and it looks to be another great source for Weather Info!
I'll Definitely have to get more familiar with that one.

Incidentally, these Weather Links are also useful for deciding if it'll be nice enough to venture out for some Geocaching. Of course, you don't necessarily need to look too far into the future to see if some geocaches can be hunted. Still, if it's poring down rain then we'll probably stay inside for the day. It all depends on our mood, ya know? Sometimes, a cache is just calling out to be hunted that day.

Don't forget www.theweathernetwork.com/ for those living a little farther North. That one that Ray posted is good.. I often check that site in winter to see if storms heading towards Buffalo will cross the lake and get us.

He tells me this one is great for those North of the US Boarder. (yup... we've got a Canadian here. ) It's all part of our "take over the world" plan ... First step, infiltrate various outdoor forums, then lul the Americans to sleep. Just when you think were done we unleash the Quebexicians unto you, many will take up to playing various sports (mostly the ones we invented ), after that we smuggle a few people into your space programs and gain your trust by having an army of Canadians slowly take over your music and movie industies. Once this has been accomplished we "rudely" invent a program called "own the podium" for the Olympics where we plan to win the most (GOLD) medals and once again will kick butt in hockey, Oh and we have allies ... Oprah .... She did feature our little red Olympic mittens on her show... MMMWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHAAAHHH! (Doctor Evil laugh.... who is Canadian). ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
