I got busted folks. I posted a give away pic in a Found it Note for a Virtual cache, and I was rightly called on it and asked to take it out. It was a rather kind request actually, cause the CO could have just Deleted the entire Log entry.
But, the lesson is this. Be careful not to post pics to your Found It logs that will give away the cache. This really holds true for both Traditionals as well as Virtuals. Or, any other type of cache for that matter.
I posted that pic as a rub in to a friend as we traveled to this cache together and I found it after the rest of the group was returning to the cache mobile of that day. I am considering us Friends enough that we kid each other about who found the caches first, all in good humor of course.
However, it was brought to my attention that any other geocacher could/might claim a false Found It based on just looking at that pic I had posted. It's sad to think it, but I guess that cache CO was right. Especially with a Virtual Cache, it would be really easy to submit a False Found It log. Due to the sensitive nature of the situation, I will Not be using that pic anywhere here in this Forum. I will Describe the cache and the pic to any PM'd requests, but I will Not be sending along the pic itself. So, please do not even ask for it.
Thank You,

ps.
Only Staff Members may post a reply here. Though frankly, I can't imagine what there would be to add to this. Of course, the PM box is Open if you do have something to say...
Thanks,
