Well, all started off pretty well and I was on my way to being on time to work 3 days in a row. (no, I'm not a morning person....)
When all of a sudden the truck just Stopped. And I mean Everything!!! Done. There I am at Armour Rd. and Rt. 50, in the turning lane to head south onto 50, and when I go to take off... Poof! Everything just turn Off. Engine, heat, lights... .Everything. I was like, WTF?
Called work to explain, then called for a Tow Truck. Long story short, I was an hour and 20 minutes late for work and I had some stuff in the truck that I needed for a job at work, thus that job didn't get completed either. Grr!
Tow Driver was kind enough to take me back home (after dropping truck at shop) to collect Car to get to work. That worked out really well too, as I needed the checkbook to even pay the man.
I'll figure out a way to Promote the Tow Truck Driver I use somehow, someday, but there's a reason I Always call Mobb's Pro Tow. I like him, he's been good to me when I needed to use his services, and he's a Christian guy that I like talking with.
Anyhow, he kept talking to me for a while after I started up the car to warm it up and also ran in to get the checkbook. Well, by the time we were done chatting, that car was Very nicely warmed up enough to make the job of snow removal rather easy. I then made my way to work in the car instead of the truck.
To those that don't me very well Personally, The Car is a FWD semi sports car that I cannot handle at all in the winter, so when it snows it is usually Parked for the long term. Having said that, Mr. Mobbs did me a favor by keeping me long enough in or chat together to make the dig out job of the car a lot easier.
All in all, I had a bad start to my day. But... it could have been a lot worse I suppose. I would usually be dang mad about all of this, but somehow I am not. The car is now loaded with the things I need for that job at work, and alarms are now set to get me there an hour early tomorrow. Hopefully everything will work out. We'll see.
Till next time, Cheers!
