I just got a phone call that I will be getting a new job in Northern Iowa (up towards Minnesota) I will be moving in the beginning of September so if anyone would like to adopt one of the caches hidden by either my wife (purple_peach), my son (prince_charming), my niece (mad princess) or myself please let me know either here, by pm or by e-mail blaird83@gmail.com, any caches not adopted by September 2nd will be archived and retrieved so that they can be relocated up towards Greene, IA. the bookmark list can be found at Laird Family hides

OK, how do I do this at the GC Site? What's the Procedure? I know I've tried Adopting other folks caches (to no avail....) so I have no idea how the process works. Is there something I can see at the GC Site, or is this Strictly via the email process? BTW, if I can have your current Home, I'l take the Boar's Nest TB Hotel! Just a thought.

The current cache owner logs in and visits: www.geocaching.com/adopt/ Enter the GC Code (GCXXXXX) and click 'Lookup.' Enter the username of the new owner and click 'Go.' Click on 'Send Adoption Request.' The new cache owner will receive an email. They should log in to the site and follow the adoption instructions provided. There's some that we plan on taking with us, so they won't be getting adopted out. Also what ever doesn't get adopted will find new homes in an area where there is only 1 cache for close to 20 miles.

having issues adopting caches its telling me that i have not been asked to adopt this cache. this is happening in multiple caches We have to let Bryan know what caches we're interested in. As the current CO, he'll then send out the Email Request to see if we'll adopt them from him. (via the GC Site) To let you know, I'm interested in taking the caches by me and my CCR Series. And maybe a few others. I'll be meeting up with Bryan after work tomorrow to discuss this more. Hopefully, we'll settle things out so he'll have somewhat of a Peaceful move. Looks like I have to Find a couple new ones he's place before I can Adopt them! Funny! but if they're right by my Home, I want to take them over for him.

The GC Site is having some dang issue here recently. An ERROR keeps coming up when I click on the link in the Email to Accept the Adoption. I believe Bryan is aware, and has an email sent in to Groundspeak. Yes, Bryan, I found the lists. At GC Site and the file you posted here somewhere. Rock A Billy is one I would like to Adopt, and I will replace the container that I know you guys want to keep. I wish the GC Site would start letting this process go forward. As the ones assigned to me become Mine, it might help me shorted up the list I have going to let you know what others I can take off your hands. Probably All of them that you don't already have assigned to other folks. BTW, you might need to update the GC List, as my name is missing from a few caches I know you sent me Adoption Notices for.

The Error thing is getting rather Tiresome! Not being the patient man that I might should be, I've a call and an email Myself to Groundspeak, asking just what is the problem here? I'm hoping Bryan might shed some light on the Adoption Process (as I know he sent an email to Groundspeak a few Days ago...) but otherwise, I'm just finding this rather Frustrating. Argh!
Interestingly enough, we have been having some rather Strange issues going on at work as well. I mean... WTH?

I called and emailed Groundspeak. The email gave me the same reply as you just posted Bryan. The Call got me another, more detailed reply and some suggestions. Nothing unusual, Updates, Try another browser, and so on. (stuff I've already done...) So, I guess we just need to be patient and let them do what they've got to do on there end. At least they appear to be Acknowledging the issue(s) and are working on them. Knowing a thing or two about problems that come up in Business Networks, I can understand the delay in getting them corrected right away. Katie was pretty helpful, but I think I'll email her back to make her aware of what Jessica said in our emails. Or... I'll just wait. Understanding that they are having issues and are working on them.

Oh... Announcement is still on. It won't be in few clicks. Thanks for the caches that came my way, Bryan. I'll take care of them the best I can. Sorry, I had to Edit the name of Jordan Park to Slater Park. But... you missed by just a little bit. Hey, are you gonna keep them on your Watch list at all? Just curious. Looks like I'm gonna have to take them all Off my Watchlist, as I've been getting Dup Emails for anything posted to them. LOL. One as a watcher, and another as the new Owner. I figured that would be Automatic, but I guess not. Funny. ;D
