9-11: I have a pic set as a memorial, but I don't say much about it. Why? Because I would rather Forget about this day if I at all could. I share/show this pic for about a week each year at my Forums too, but aside from that... I dunno. I guess I just don't want to be reminded of this every stinking year. So I guess my question is this. How many more years are we (as a nation) going to make a public Spectacle out of this? It is my hope that after the 10 Year Anniversary, well, I hope we can Move on after this. Isn't it time to move on yet? I'll Never forget that day. I'll forever (in my own way...) Remember the lives lost. But... do we really need to keep making an Open ordeal of this? Really? What is the purpose of dragging this up again year after year? Open up the wounds again? Is this a good thing to do? I don't think so. Rather, I think it's high time we Close those wounds and move Forward. Quit Picking the Scabs, ya know? Just my opinion. Also, do we need to keep telling them folks over there that we're still in pain over this? Do we need to keep saying Over and Over again... umm.. Hey, here's a date to try it again? Really? Why? I truely hope that this 10 Year (Decade) Anniversiry will the last Public Spectical of it. I guess that's all I've got to say at this time. EDIT: Proofreading Corrections.

The Above post was posted at Facebook first. But, I figured it was good enough to share at my Forums also.

i gotta say i agree with you, it was a sad day and it continues to be sad but at some point you gotta raise you head and see that it wasnt the end of us. were still here, and we got the man we were gunning for. we may never know all of what happened that day or the "truth" hidden in the shadows but we dont have to ad salt to the wont every year. after 10 years we need to heal. dont call me cold hearted, i mourned for those souls lost that day. dont call me unpatriotic or unamerican, i can tell you i have more hot american blood then anyone in washington dc. (boy do they make mine boil. but thats another post in another forum) i am telling you now we need to stop this yearly thing. let the dead be in peace and the living move on

As someone who saw this from afar, The comments above could be said in reference to a few other dates .. Martin Luther King is one that comes to mind ... The guy was killed.. get over it ...
In all honesty I think the date needs to be remembered each year, Too many import dates are forgotten over time. This will be another date that will live in infamy ..

I changed the Logo Pic again. My Daughter found the Eagle and I thought it was a good Pic. So... I'ts up for a while.
I guess I have a few more thoughts on this, but am not sure how to go Forward. I Agree with WDM (Dan) but also agree with Craig. (Snow) Bryan (blaird83) is conveniently Absent from this discussion.
I am the Admin, but I am So lost on this. Craig is a Current Mod, and Bryan is absent right now. And now I have have Dan's opinion as well. So.. what to think, guys? Dan, are you Open to joining the Moderator status Rank here?
Shoot on this. Craig, you'll likely have a Powering Vote/Comment on this. (and you Do have the Authority to Move this if you think it's best.)

Scott, My first instinct says maybe not right now but in stead of no, i'll say yes, but on a trial basis.

Scott you know I'm pretty cool with almost anything, and when things aren't right I'll speak up about it...
With re: to the topic... Date has to be remembered ... How it is remembered needs to change ... Yes it is a sad time, lots of lost lives not just those who died as a direct result of the hijackings, but also those who "died" inside because a family member, friend etc. was killed... But it has to be looked at along the lines of Veterans Day, Columbus Day and even Thanksgiving .... It has to be a day to spend with family and friends and (for lack of better words) party ... Remember the events of what took place, but party and show the World, specifically those parts that hate civilized Democracies, that "we are still here and still living" ...
